Standard Single Long Jump Landing Pit Specification

Excavate for pit internal size 9m long x 3m wide x 500mm deep with sufficient clearance edgings/haunchings and dispose of the spoil off site unless otherwise agreed.
Supply and lay concrete edgings to form the perimeter of the sand pit.
Supply and lay geotextile to the base of the sand pit.
Supply and lay washed white sand to fill the pit to the top of the edging slabs.
Supply and lay one row of paving slabs around the perimeter of the sand pit.
Fit rubber strips 50mm wide bonded to the top of the vertical sand pit edgings with polyurethane adhesive to form a safer capping around the pit.
Grade in around the perimeter of the paving slabs with soil/seed to marry in levels.
Rake over sand to level and leave ready for use.
