How to Order

sportsequip.co.uk provides an easy to use "shopping basket" facility so making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse through our product range and click your mouse on the item(s) in which you are interested. Fuller specifications can then be viewed for each item. The required items can be simply added to your "shopping basket" and ordered on line.

We also welcome orders and card details by telephone, fax or post. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payments by Visa and Mastercard. We regret we are unable to accept American Express. All orders are charged in £ Sterling. Under normal circumstances we do not charge for any item until it is ready to despatch. Back ordered items are not normally charged until they are despatched.

When an e-mail confirmation of order is received, this is only to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, only when we send you a written order acknowledgement by e-mail or post. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

To make calculation of delivery easier, all of our prices have been divided into three distinct delivery bands:

Band A product prices include delivery anywhere in the UK.
Band B product prices include delivery anywhere within mainland Great Britain, but exclude some AB, FK, IV, KW, PA & PH postcodes.
Band C product prices include delivery within a 125 mile radius of Tur Langton, Leicestershire.

Please see our Delivery Policy for more information.

If you require a specific carriage quotation, please contact us. VAT is automatically charged at the prevailing UK rate.

For orders to be delivered outside mainland Britain please refer to our export section.

Our standard payment terms for private consumers are by Bank Transfer (BACS), Cheque, Pay Pal, Debit or Credit Card, details of which must be provided at the time of ordering. We regret that because of increased incidents of attempted fraudulent purchases via Pay Pal we are unable to accept Pay Pal payments for any ball machines and some other selected products with values in excess of £500.00 + VAT.

Delivery, Shipping & Handling Policy

All products on our website have been separated into three delivery bands (Band A, B and C).

Band A - Products found within Band A are typically smaller products that can be dispatched via Royal Mail. The price of these items therefore includes delivery anywhere in the UK.
Band B - The majority of our products are categorised as Band B. These products are typically larger items that require dispatch via carriers. The price of Band B products include delivery anywhere within mainland Great Britain, but excludes some AB, FK, IV, KW, PA & PH postcodes.
Band C - These products are typically larger products that require assembly or installation. The prices quoted include delivery within a 125 mile radius of Tur Langton, Leicestershire.

However, these items can be delivered anywhere within the UK for an additional charge. Please contact our Sales Office for more information.

Deliveries are to agreed addresses only. Carriers drivers can not be expected to exceed manual handling regulations. Therefore it is always the customers responsibility to offload goods from lorries, including arranging for mechanical means if appropriate.

Most of our goods are delivered on large lorries. Any delivery access restrictions must be advised to us at the time of ordering. Any special arrangements required because of limited access are subject to extra cost.items.

Express or 24 hour delivery can be arranged on most items upon request for an additional fee.

For more information about delivery, please see our Delivery Policy.

Signing For Goods

Please check your goods carefully upon delivery for any signs of possible damage before you sign to say that you have received the goods in good condition. If you find the internal contents have been damaged we recommend that you cross out the word 'Received in good condition' and write 'Damaged' before you sign, or to write 'Damaged' above your signature. This is to ensure that a claim can be made against the courier company if necessary.

If you have previously signed to declare that you received your order in good condition it is extremely difficult for us to claim that your goods were damaged if you do not use the correct wording.

sportsequip accept no liability for any consequence arising as a result of any instruction to deliver goods without signature.

Export

Our site is primarily aimed at the British market and our "shopping basket" facility calculates VAT for British mainland deliveries only.

However, we recognise the worldwide coverage of our site and welcome overseas orders.

Prior to accepting orders outside mainland Britain, we need to agree upon shipping methods and advise you of the additional charges involved.

For consumer orders within the UK, VAT is automatically added at the standard rate, currently 20%. All other worldwide orders are free of UK VAT, but local taxes, tariffs and fees may be applicable and payable by the recipient. Please check your own country's charges and regulations concerning additional fees payable prior to placing orders with us. sportsequip.co.uk can not advise on, or be responsible for any import charges.

Please note that not all of our products are manufactured in the UK. Some may incur different import tariff rates to those charged on goods made in the UK. If not made in the UK, where known we indicate the Country of Origin on the product details.

Please send your e-mail enquiries detailing the products you require and your preferred method of shipping in English, French or German to our sales office: [email protected]

Returns Policy

sportsequip.co.uk operate a full and fair returns policy. Your rights to withdraw from the contract or in other words to return goods as a private consumer are protected under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, details of which can be found at https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-contracts-regulations.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act any unused product purchased through our site by consumers can be returned within 14 days from the date of receipt for a 100% refund including delivery costs, if in its original condition and with the original packaging. The only exception to this is when goods have been custom-made to order, in which case we are unable to except returns. All we ask is that you return the goods to us via the same method we used to originally despatch the goods to you. Cancellation of an order and return of goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations shall not incur any costs other than the costs of returning the goods. If you wish to return any goods back to us, please contact us in the first instance to acknowledge your intentions. We will advise on the most suitable shipping method and return address. Please note that customers have a statutory duty of care for the safe return of goods, i.e. undamaged. Returned goods should be well packaged in, if possible, the same wrappings and packaging originally supplied and must be suitably protected to withstand the rigours of return transportation/post.

We will carry out an inspection of all returned equipment to check for signs of use (scratches etc) beyond what would be reasonable in trying the goods out, and that would prevent us from reselling the equipment as new. If the goods are in mint condition, a 100% refund will be issued. If payment has been received in advance we guarantee to refund your money within 14 days of notification of cancellation.

If the equipment supplied is faulty, it is covered by manufacturers guarantees. In the unlikely event of any goods developing a fault within the guarantee period, they may be returned for an immediate replacement or a full refund, whether they have been used or not. “Faults” are defined as manufacturing defects, not those that may be caused by incorrect installation, abuse or fair wear and tear of the equipment. These guarantees are in addition to consumers statutory rights. If you think you have faulty goods and wish to return them back to us, please contact us in the first instance to acknowledge your intentions. We will advise on refunds, replacements, return address and most suitable shipping methods.

Cancelling an Order

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, if you wish to cancel your order with us within 14 days of the date of delivery, you should complete and submit the following form: https://www.sportsequip.co.uk/forms/order-cancellation-form.html.

Please see our Returns Policy for more information.

Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Policy

What is WEEE and why should electrical equipment be recycled?

Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) has been a growing problem in recent decades. Electrical or electronic equipment that has reached the end of its life, become faulty or is otherwise deemed obsolete is considered as WEEE.

This type of waste is unfortunately often sent to landfill and over time it damages the environment as hazardous substances corrode and leak into soil and water. However, much of this equipment can either be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and helping to protect wildlife and human health.

Doing our part to help

Boyd Sport & Play Limited (trading as sportsequip) operate a free recycling scheme for waste electrical and electronic goods, on a like-for-like basis. Please speak to a member of or sales team to on how to dispose of your Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

Please note: You are responsible for postage costs when returning any WEEE to us for recycling.

Crossed Out Wheelie Bin SymbolCrossed Out Wheelie Bin Symbol

Remember, electronic/electrical items marked with a crossed out wheelie bin symbol can be recycled.

This symbol denotes that these should be separated from regular waste for recycling.

Please don’t dispose of WEEE or batteries in the bin.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires UK distributors to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of WEEE. UK distributors (including retailers) are required to provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we have met these requirements by offering all customers buying new electrical and electronic equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like for like basis.
