Funding Options for Floodlights, Sports and Grounds Equipment
Sports clubs and groups looking to upgrade their facilities can often take advantage of funding schemes from recognised sporting bodies to encourage participation. At sportsequip, we’re happy to supply quotes for floodlights, goals, ball stop netting, boundary fencing, spectator barriers, team shelters and more that can be submitted as part of your application.
For example, The Football Foundation often make funding available for which help grass roots football clubs to extend (or add) evening training sessions during winter months, whilst widening the opportunities for new players to take part in sessions. The criteria for funding for portable floodlights can be found within the Football Foundations 'Looking for Funding' pages. This covers who can and can't apply, specifics on which items of equipment are eligible and maximum funding allowances.
If you think you may be eligible and wish to apply for funding for floodlights, you'll require two quotes for Sports-Lite Portable Floodlights (please contact us) and any other supporting documents. Then you can visit the Football Foundation website, click 'Get Started', select the 'Other Small Grants' option and begin your application.
Funding is often available for other sports too, so whether you are running a hockey, cricket, tennis, rugby, netball or other sports club, school/college or other community sports facility, it is worth researching the support available, as you may find that you are eligible to apply for grants/funding to help move your project forward. Most sporting bodies also offer fundraising tips and guidance.
Criteria and restrictions for funding varies depending upon the association and the ultimate aim of the fund, however the following links may provide useful starting points for those seeking grants or financial assistance to improve their sports and grounds facilities.
In addition to the comprehensive list of links below, a good general funding resource is the Idox GrantFinder. This search portal highlights recent funding that's been made available for sports and leisure purposes - including for grounds/pitch improvements, club venue upgrades, training facilities and more.
