No - it's a freestanding unit which requires no installation. The unit can simply be placed where needed.
The Pro Compact does also feature pre-drilled holes in the frame of the base, so the unit has the option to be fixed to the ground if you prefer. Floor fixing can be done with standard tools, but ground fixing bolts are not included with the unit - as the type needed will vary depending on what sort of surface it's being fixed to.
Where can the Pro Compact Boot Wiper be used?
In most places where a boot wiper is required - but it's suitable for use by one person at a time, so lower foot traffic areas are ideal.
As with all freestanding boot wiper units, it's also more suited to use in secured/supervised areas that aren't prone to theft/vandalism.
